History

Now when we usually think about history we think of it as "boring". Well today I did some history that was actually fun! We went to John Sevier's home in Marble Springs. We learned some pretty interesting things. I learned that in the Revolutionary War John Sevier commanded more soldiers than George Washington! And he actually started the town of Marble Springs.

Now this was actually a thing to get volunteers to work there so we did some things that they would do to train you. We learned how to start a fire (without using matches or lighters) and we also got to use axes to chop some wood (my four year old brother got to use a hatchet on the log). For lunch we had gruel (actually beef stew) that was actually pretty good!

Just One Peek

This Blog is about something I did yesterday. I am so glad that today is today because yesterday I got a glimpse of something that I shouldn't have gotten a glimpse of! See if you can guess what I saw! Almost every child will see one of these but won't tell anyone. I may have given a little to much info already. It could be really anything but whatever it is it is always hidden. Leave a comment on your guess and later I will tell!

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was awesome! Not only was the turkey delicious, but the Tennessee Tucky game was fantastic! I can't wait to see Tennessee whoop LSU's tail in the SEC championship! I guess I'm getting a little sidetracked. That's the norm for me. My family and I went to my Dad's Dad's house in Sumter, South Carolina. My favorite part was seeing my cousin Betsy (left). I loved playing with her.

On Friday, we went to see a brick with my Dad's name on it in front of a baseball stadium where he used to play. It was neat but you could tell the stadium was pretty old because the name of the stadium was supposed to be on the stadium but two or three had fallen off!
I loved getting to spend some time with my family and I hope that I have an even better Thanksgiving next year!

Thankfulness

I know it's not Thanksgiving yet, but I'd like to blog about what I'm thankful for. Normally we just think about the turkey and how good it's going to be and getting to see family and all that. We really don't think about why Thanksgiving was started and we just say Thanksgiving and don't think about it's meaning. We don't realize how blessed we are just to even have family or to even live in America. Living in America we can’t imagine not having what we need and usually we whine and complain about not getting what we want!

There are so many things I am thankful for. I am very thankful to God for being raised in a Christian family. I can not be more thankful for my parents, the love the give me, and every thing else they give me. I am also thankful for my brothers who give me lots of love and straighten me up when I need to be straightened up. I’m very thankful for all of my family. I am also thankful for all my friends especially two of them. Their names are Colby and Andrew. They're my two very best friends. Another thing I am thankful for is deodorant. My Mom would not be able to live if I didn't have that. Just kidding! What are you thankful for?

Is there anything that anybody would like me to blog about? Leave a comment and I might blog about that.

FCA Banquet

Several nights ago I went to the FCA Banquet. It was neat. They had a real good/fancy dinner. We had salad, chicken, bread, broccoli, noodles, and the best dessert I've ever had. My favorite part of the dinner was the salad. I guess it's just because I really like the taste of salad dressing.

I went to the banquet with my brother and my grandfather. You may know my grandfather because he knows a lot of people. I got to meet a former linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons, a former pitcher for the New York Yankees, and a Alan Williams a sports reporter.

The main speaker was Tom Osborne. He talked about how a verse in the Bible said to get everything out of our way so that we can be ambassadors for Christ. Heres a video of one way to do it.

I hope that no one will go around the neighborhood using the evangelism linebackers techniques.

What Will You Ask?

Heres a blog that my Dad told me to blog about, and I think it will be interesting. Well one night we were sitting at the table and my Dad said," I finally know what I want to ask God when I get to heaven." Then I said," What?" Then he said," I want to know why we can't tickle our selves."

One day my Mom and my neighbor were talking and my Mom was telling a story about when she was in Savannah, Georgia. In Savannah (probably many other places in the world too) there are bugs called Palmetto Beetles. Two things you need to know. Palmetto Beetles are very large and ugly (unless your alien), and my neighbor hates bugs. Well anyway my Mom was telling the story and it had those, excuse me but I need to go puke. Okay well my Mom was telling a story and it had those beetles in it. Well our neighbor said," Yeah when I get to heaven I'm gonna have a talk with God and ask him why he made those things."

I am going ask god why we can remember only certain things from when we were 0-4 years old. I mean didn't we have brains when we were babies. Mommy I want my bottle.
